e-ENEXPRO PROVEEDORES MINEROS 2021 closes with a business projection of more than US$ 20.2 million
Chile’s Export Promotion Bureau, ProChile, released the final results of the fifth version of its export event dedicated to the suppliers of mining goods and services, e-ENEXPRO PROVEEDORES MINEROS 2021.

The activity, which took place between August 24 and 26, closed its fifth version – the second which has taken place completely online – with positive numbers: 208 companies participating with an activity on the platform; 301 business meetings successfully carried out; and a 12-month business projection of more than US$ 20.2 million. The 2020 version of the event yielded a business projection of US$ 14 million; the goal was to exceed those numbers by 20%, so the 2021 edition widely exceeded expectations.

Interestingly, the participation of Peruvian buyers was outstanding. They collectively accounted for around 50% of business projections, worth more than US$ 10 million. A little further behind were Mexican buyers, with US$ 9.6 million. Both markets are thus jointly responsible for nearly all purchase estimates. In this regard, it is important to note that the projections correspond to information provided by the buyers registered on the platform, via an online survey that they completed at the end of each meeting.

ProChile teams in the country’s different regions and in international markets will now begin a follow-up process, so that business projections translate into purchase orders. Additionally, importance will be placed on scheduling meetings that could not be held for various reasons. The number of effective meetings is expected to increase by around 30% through this initiative, which should in turn have an impact on business projections.

e-ENEXPRO PROVEEDORES MINEROS 2021 was organized by ProChile with the collaboration of the Mining Ministry, APRIMIN, AndesMETS, the Asociación de Industriales de Antofagasta, MINNOVEX, Alta Ley, ASIVA, the Asociación de Empresas Consultoras de Ingeniería, Expande, Fundación Chile, Endeavor and ExpoMin.
