Chile's Health Ministry has announced the death of a 78-year-old woman, who lived in the Maipú district of Santiago and had tested positive for COVID-19.
The patient was admitted yesterday to the El Carmen de Maipú Hospital with respiratory symptoms. In line with the protocol, a sample was taken to test for coronavirus and the result was reported today by the Hospital Lucio Córdova, one of the centers that has been certified for diagnosing this disease.
